Seeing all six of Georgia’s historic lighthouses is on my bucket list, and this past weekend, I had the joy of checking off my first! I visited the beautiful Tybee Island Light Station — it was absolutely stunning. I also enjoyed relaxing by the beach and soaking in the peaceful coastal views. This trip was a little spontaneous, so next time, I hope to plan ahead and book a longer stay. That way, I’ll have plenty of time to travel along the coastline and visit all six lighthouses on my list.

Looking Ahead to More Coastal Adventures

This visit was just the beginning of my lighthouse journey, and it left me even more excited to continue exploring Georgia’s coastal gems. Each lighthouse holds its own story, and I can’t wait to discover them all — one peaceful, sun-soaked stop at a time. Until then, I’ll be dreaming of salty breezes, sandy toes, and the gentle glow of history guiding my way.
